摘要
教育情报学作为介于情报学与教育学之间的年轻的应用学科，在国外已得到较快的发展，在我国也日趋为人们所关注。文章在简介了国外救育情报学的发展现状的旗础上，讨论了教育情报的特征和作用，认为我国应通过对教育发展环境信息、教育情报工作内容、教育情报处理机制、教育情报科学理论等主题的研究，不断强化教育情报学的学科地位。
Educational informatics as a young applied science interposed betweeninformatics and pedagogics is facing a fairly rapid development in foreign lands and receiving an ever greater attention of people in China as days roll by. on the basis of making a brief introduction of the present state of its development abroad, the paper discusses the characteristics and role of educational information believing that the position of the course of informatics should be successively intensified through research into such topics as the environmental information of educational development, the content of educational information work, the mechanism of educational information processing and the theory ot educational information science.
