摘要
混沌/复杂系统理论最初兴起于自然科学研究领域,并广泛应用于物理,生物及数学等学科的研究,被称为21世纪的理论。但这一全新的理论视角在我国学界并未引发足够关注。本文试图通过梳理该理论的内涵、历史演变过程,分析该理论在应用语言学领域的意义和前景。文章最后阐述了该理论对我国大学英语教学的启示以及具体的实际操作要点。
Complex system theory originating in the field of natural science has been regarded as the theory of 21 st Century and applied to physics, biology and mathematics. Larsen Freeman takes the initiative to carry out research in the field of applied linguistics from the new perspective of chaos/complex system theory. Unfortunately, this new perspective has not aroused e- nough attention in China and remains much neglected. The author aims to reveal the prospect of the application of chaos/com- plex system theory in applied linguistics by combing through the connotation and history of the theory. The implications of cha- os/complex system theory for college English teaching in China is provided at the end of the article.
