摘要
本研究讨论了科技英语翻译与语言学和翻译学之间的关系。试图通过一系列实例来说明,语言学知识和翻译理论对于提高科技翻译工作者的业务素质及其翻译作品的水准至关重要。
The relations between EST translation,linguistics and translatology are discussed to a certain extent in this paper. The authors try to pinpoint, by using a series of examples, the importance of mastering the linguistic knowledge and translation theories for improving the EST translators＇ overall professionalism and the quality of their translations as well.
