摘要
德国功能主义翻译理论从目的语文本的视角将翻译视为一项须考虑读者和客户要求的目的性交际活动,为翻译理论研究带来了新的革命。论文主要分析该理论在文学翻译中的应用,指出该理论关注文学译本和读者的关系,扩大了文学翻译的可能性,能够解释一些有违常规的翻译现象,提高了文学译者的地位。但是,该理论把原文只作为信息提供,当翻译目的与文本意图不一致时,可能会导致牺牲原文意义的丰富性与多样性。
The German Functionalist translation theory focuses on the target text and regards translation as a purposeful communicative activity that takes readers and clients into account.This paper analyzes the applicability of this theory in literary translation.It shows the possibility of a greater variety of literary translations,explains some translations that break the norms,and improves the literary translator＇s status in translation activities.However,it considers the source text as a kind of information offer.When the translation aim or purpose is not consistent with the source text＇s intention,the richness and plurality of the sense in the source text may be lost.
