Objective:To study the correlation of inhibitor of differentiation 1(Id-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and microvessel density(MVD),and discuss microvessel angiogenesis in cervical cancer.Methods:Id-1,VEGF and CD34 were detected in 50 tissues of cervical cancer by immunohistochemical method,CD34 was used to mark the microvessels and calculate MVD.Result:Id-1,VEGF and MVD were expressed highly in cervical cancer and correlated to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO) clinical stages,respectively(P0.05).Id-1 expression also had positive correlation with expressions of VEGF and MVD in cervical cancer tissues(P0.01,respectively).Spearman coefficients(Ra) was 0.43 and 0.48.Conclusion:Id-1 may promote tumor formation through the mechanism of promting microvessel angiogenesis of tumor in cervical cancer development.
