摘要
国外女性化妆品在进入中国市场后面临着品牌翻译的问题。许多化妆品的品名汉译在语素的选用、韵律的平仄和字形的美感等方面呈现出丰富的美学特征。然而,部分化妆品也存在由于翻译不当而造成的源语言或译语的语义缺失现象。
Female cosmetic trade names from abroad are facing the issues of E-C translation after entering into Chi- nese markets. The E-C translation of many cosmetic trade names presents plenty of aesthetic features in morpheme selection, rhythm and tonal pattern, the unique beauty of Chinese characters. This paper mainly deals with these out- standing features. Meanwhile, the author points out with examples the semantic deficiency of both source and target language in the E-C translation of some cosmetic trade names. language
