摘要
加拿大渥太华大学沉浸式双语教育经历了数十年发展,践行了“保护性专业课程”教学模式和“附加性语言课程”教学模式,将学科内容与语言教学相结合取得了令人满意的教学效果。渥太华大学沉浸式双语教育理念为中国大学英语教学的语言环境创设、教学目标设定、教学模式选择、语言教师与学科教师合作及教材开发提供了有益启示。
The University of Ottawa in Canada has been implementing for decades immersion bilingual education which includes the sheltered model and the adjunct model. The practice of integrating language instruction with content at this particular university has produced positive results. It is supposed that the notion of immersion bilingual education would provide valuable implications for college English instruction in China in terms of language environments, teaching objectives, instruction models, cooperation between language teachers and subject teachers as well as teaching materials.
