摘要
本文结合我们过去编制专业图集的体会，就如何提高编图的科学性、实用性和艺术性等谈点在工作过程中应注意的几个问题。即：明确图集的目的和要求，确定图集的内容、拟定编图大纲，图集编绘的技术原则，专家审查确定图稿，以及专业人员与地图专业人员的密切结合。
In this paper, with reference to our experience from technical mapping, the following issues are relevant to improving the scientific, practical, and artistic aspects of the technical atlas were discussed.(1) The Purpose and requirement of the technical atlas. Before making ahas, thepurpose and requirement should be fully and clearly stated. A technical atlas should first represent the scientific development in the subject field, with high academic value and demonstrating the updated level and achievement in the subject. Second, it should be of practical and reference value. TIs means that it should convey systematically the scientific advance in the subject field. Third, the technical atlas making work should be conducted as quick as the quality can be reached. Since its applicablevalue is subject to data and information, it is the earlier the better.(2) The content and the outline of the atlas. The content of the atlas should bethe core of the preparation work. The content of the atlas is to be selected withconsideration of the state of the science of the subject the demand of the potential users, and exishng problem. Meanwhile, it is valuable to learn from relevant technical alias home and abroad. Then outline plan should be evalUated by practitioners, who are good evaluators of research outputs. Finally, an expert workshop is set up to determine the work plan to assure the technical width and depth of the atlas.(3) The principles of tecbocal maPPing. These include the refinement of thecontent the proper stress and emphasizing, high applicability. The collection should include those representatives of updated results and available exised maps. Third, newand high technical can be used to search results in various data base and / or GIS which is very useful in computer maPPing. Fourth, the atlas should be based on reliable and accurate data, high representative, strict and refined arrangement andreview. To guarantee its scientific value.
