摘要
对外汉语初级教材生词的英文译释是初级阶段英语背景的外国留学生学习汉语词汇的桥梁,其质量至关重要。但是调查发现,对外汉语初级教材生词的英文译释存在译释方式不妥、译释不够准确、忽略生词的附属义和用法等问题,因此而对外国留学生的汉语词汇学习造成了一定的负面影响。教学得法可以防止这种负面影响的产生。运用英译以外的方法和手段、运用汉英对比的方法讲解生词可以有效避免英译干扰。
The English translations or explanations of the Chinese words in TCFL textbooks are very helpful for foreigners with English background to learn Chinese words,so they should be of high quality.But according to the survey,quite a number of the Chinese words in TCFL textbooks are inappropriately translated or explained and thus cause misunderstanding and misuse of the Chinese words for foreign students.To prevent these negative impact,a solution from vocabulary teaching is proposed: explaining new words using methods outside English translation or explanation,explaining new words using Chinese-English contrast.
