摘要
车牌倾斜检测与校正是车牌识别的关键技术之一。提出了一种基于字符角点信息和惯性主轴的车牌倾斜角检测方法。在用Harris角点检测算法提取出车牌区域字符角点信息的基础上,通过计算所得角点的惯性主轴来检测出车牌的倾斜角度,从而实现车牌的倾斜校正。给出了实验结果,并与Hough变换法、旋转投影法进行了比较。结果表明,该检测校正方法运算量小,速度快,校正精度高。
The detection and correction of oblique license plate is one of the key technologies in automatic license plate recognition. An algorithm for oblique license plate correction is proposed based on the comer point information and inertial principal axis. Firstly, the comer points of the license plate are found using Harris algorithm; then the inertial principal axis of those comer points is found to determine the oblique angle of the plate; thus the oblique plate can be corrected. The experimental results are given and compared with others, such as from Hough Transform Algorithm, Rotation Projection Algorithm, etc. It shows that the proposed algorithm has high speed and high precision.
