From the perspectives of social strata, parental educational level and family income, the research explores the influence of family background on minorities' access to higher education. The empirical results indicate that there exists a significant disparity on quantity, level and type of access to higher education among minority college students with different family background. In ordinary public four-year institutions, there is a smallest gap among different minorities' social strata; in public vocational colleges, the disparity of parental educational level is the smallest; family income plays a certain role for minority students to enroll private colleges or not.
