摘要
从关联理论入手,首先阐述了关联理论与课堂委婉语之间的关系,进而对教师在大学英语教学课堂上使用的指令性和评价性委婉语进行分析,着重强调课堂委婉语受众的认知与理解机制,提出课堂委婉语的使用能够提高学生对语言的认知和推理能力,从根本上提高课堂语言交际的效率和教学的效果。
This paper firstly states the relationship between Relevance Theory and Euphemism in English teaching, and then attempts to analyze the instructive euphemism and evaluative euphemism which used by teachers in the English class from the perspective of Relevance Theory, especially emphasizes the audience's cognitive and understanding mechanism of Euphemism in English Teaching. The conclusion is that the utilization of euphemism in English teaching can improve students' cognitive and reasoning ability of language, so that the efficiency of class communication and the effect of teaching can be improved.
