摘要
目前关于"信、达、雅"的翻译准则对品牌翻译的适用性有诸多争议。从对"信、达、雅"翻译理论的内容入手,结合品牌命名的原则,对译者在品牌翻译过程中求"信"使用的翻译方法进行分析,认为品牌翻译的过程同样遵循"信"的原则。
There have been some arguments about the adaptability of the translation principles "Faithfulness, Expressiveness and Elegance" to brand translation. With the explanation of the translation principles as well as the criteria of naming brands, this paper analyses the translation methods for "Faithfulness" in brand translation and finally concludes that brand translation has also followed the principle of "Faithfulness".
