摘要
本文以建构主义的理论为依据,从外语教学的认知特点出发,讨论了技术应用观的改变能使计算机多媒体作为促进大学英语教学效能的认知工具,并强调认知工具不仅有助于语言知识的内化、构建语言知识体系,还有助于学生在一种虚拟的语言环境中克服个性弱点,使学生的自主学习、合作学习、探索性学习的能力得以提高,使外语教学成为一种学生所需要的有意义的活动。
Based on the theory of constructivism and cognitivism, this paper regards computer and multimedia as cognitive tools and argues that getting a new perspective on technical application, shifting from "learning from" to "learning with", would promote the. effectiveness of college English teaching. Meanwhile, it emphasizes that the cogni- tive tools will not only help the students internalize knowledge of English language and develop the language system, but also help students overcome their personal weaknesses in a virtual environment. In this way they can acquire their abili- ties during their independent learning, cooperative learning and exploratory learning. As a result, foreign language teaching and learning become meaning-oriented activities being geared to the needs of students.
