摘要
用简单曲线逼近NURBS(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline非均匀有理B—样条)曲线在工程设计中广泛应用。提供一种用若干条双圆弧逼近任意NURBS曲线的算法,并着重讨论单条双圆弧的最优逼近方法。此方法得到的双圆弧拟合能控制在用户指定的逼近误差范围内,并达到最优逼近。
This paper presents an algorithm for approximating NUBRS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) curve with a series of G1 bi-arcs. The main idea of the algorithm is to approximate the NUBRS curve with a polygon within a specified tolerance and approximate the polygon with a series of bi-arcs. In this procedure we concentrate our attention on the optimal single bi-arc fitting to polygon segment with two end tangents,The method is simple in concept, but provides reasonable and accurate control, and produces the smaller number of bi-arcs in the resulting arc spline.
