摘要
迪斯尼动画片《木兰》在再现“他者”的过程中对本土文化进行了东方化和美国化,以美国主流文化的个人主义价值观置换了原作《木兰辞》所蕴涵的中国传统文化.从而改写了本土文化的民族身份。在这一过程中,作为强势文化的美国媒体实施了对弱势文化的整合与殖民,而真实的本土文化则遭遇了边缘化。
In representing the Other, Disney's animated feature Mulan replaces the traditional Chinese culture embedded in the original Chinese ballad "Ode of Mulan" with individualism, the ideology of American mainstream culture by means of orientalization and Americanization. In so doing, it rewrites the identity of Chinese culture. In this process, the American medium of the powerful culture integrates, colonizes and marginalizes the Chinese culture.
