摘要
由于英汉两种语言属于不同的语系,东西方的社会文化也存在着很大差异,因而在科学研究和学术交流的翻译过程中,给科技工作者带来诸多困难.本文针对这一问题进行了深入的探讨和论述,阐述了科技英语翻译理论与实践的关系和重要性;分析了科技英语文体特点和句法结构;介绍了原文理解和译文表达的技巧;提出了翻译理论来源于翻译实践活动,继而又用于指导翻译实践工作,为科技英语翻译提供了可借鉴的翻译方法和技巧.
English and Chinese belong to different language families, there often exist great disparities between Chinese and western social cultures, scientific workers may encounter many difficulties during the translation in scientific research and academic exchange. This paper deeply discusses and describes the above subject. It states the relationship and significance between English translation theory and practice, analyzes the characteristics of technical English style and syntax, and introduces the skills for the understanding of source language and the expression of target language. The paper also holds the view that translation theory comes from practice, and translation theory is again employed to direct translation practice. Finally, the referable translation methods and skills are provided for technical English translation.
