摘要
解释是翻译的普遍特征,但翻译是有限度的解释。对翻译解释的限制很大程度上来自公共视域。公共视域对译者的解释行为起到了制约作用,决定了作为翻译的解释是有限度的解释。公共视域虽与规范有共同之处,却是两个不同的概念,前者对翻译现象更具解释力和说服力,是对后者的进一步完善和发展。
Though interpretiveness is the universal nature of translating, translating is a restrained interpreting act. The restraints of interpreting in translating come mainly from “the translator＇s shared horizon”, which restricts the translator in his/her interpreting and determines that the interpreting in translating should he restrained. Despite their similarities, “the translator＇s shared horizon”and “norms” are two essentially different concepts, of which the former, with a step further toward the truth of translating, is much more effective and persuasive in explaining the translating phenomenon.
