The term tngri meant “sky” and “heaven” as well. It at first referred to not “sky” but to top or head of persons, later extended to be naming of top of things and sky above things or top part of things. Consequently it came to denote“sky”. What are the most striking bodies in sky in relevant to human beings? Doubtless, they are the sun, moon and stars. Among them, the sun and moon took unique places. Therefore tngri(heaven) Mongol language speaking peoples' ancestors worshiped were certainly the sun and moon, two celestial bodies with personality. Both of the celestial bodies were tngri Mongol language speaking peoples' ancestors worshiped. Of course this is not final conclusion I want to make.
