摘要
从范畴词、修饰词方面说明了过度冗余在汉英翻译中的种种具体表现,认为译文冗余过度与汉英语言结构差异、词义的非对应性、文化和思维方式差异、翻译技巧等诸多因素有关。针对翻译中普遍存在的过度冗余问题,提出省译(omission)是消除该现象的一种有效方式。
This paper ,from category word , pompous word, explicit repetition and implicit repetition ,analyzes the over-redundancy in Chinese-English Translation. Language structures, Non-equivalence of glossary in both English and Chinese,difference between Chinese mode of thinking and culture and that of the western countries are considered to be the causes for over-redundancy. It is proposed that omission is the effective methods to eliminate over-redundancy.
