摘要
非语言特征的衔接作用一直不被语言学家所承认，从而造成语篇衔接无法解释语篇连贯的尴尬局面。首先论述实现语篇意义的非语言特征的类型和由非语言特征实现的意义，然后从语篇意义的完整性和非语言特征与语篇的相关性探讨非语言特征在不同语篇中的不同作用，并根据实例探讨非语言特征的衔接作用，从而论证非语言特征的表义功能及其语篇的衔接作用。
The cohesive effect of non-linguistic features has not been recognized, which results in a quandary that text cohesion can not be used to interpret text coherence. The present paper discusses the meaning of texts realized by non-linguistic features and their cohesive effect in texts. It first shows the types of non-linguistic features and the meaning of the text they realize. Then it explores the different effects of the non-linguistic features in different types of texts on the basis of the integrity of the text and the relevance of the non-linguistic features with the text. Finally, it discusses the cohesive effect of the non- linguistic features by examples..
