摘要
20世纪汉语文学典籍英译的发展日益成熟,海外出版出现了5个鲜明的发展阶段:1910—1919年酝酿期、1920—1929年小高潮期、1930—1959年平稳发展期、1960—1979年高潮期和1980—1999年回归平稳发展期,且每一个阶段都有其独特的演变特征。进入21世纪,海外英语世界的文学典籍翻译出版状况虽至今未现高潮或迭嬗,但前景可观。研究20世纪以来的汉语文学典籍海外英译出版动态,对于了解汉语文学典籍的翻译走向,掌握中国文化海外传播的具体状况以及找出中国文化走出去的可行性战略等都有重要意义。
It witnessed the maturation changes in the overseas publishing of the English translation of Chinese literary classics in the 20 th century, which can be divided into five stages with distinguishing features: the gestation period from 1910 to 1919, the mini-boom period from 1920-1929, the stable development period from 1930-1949, the upsurge from 1960-1979 and the return of stable development period from 1980-1999. Although no big change has presented itself yet in the 21 st century, the overseas publishing of the English translation of Chinese classics, according to the current situation, still has good prospects. It is of great significance to study the overseas publishing dynamics of the English translation of Chinese classics, as it can help to figure out what the English translation of Chinese classics is heading for, how well Chinese culture is accepted in the western world and what is the most feasible strategy for Chinese culture's going global.
