摘要
美国汉学家帕特里克·韩南将大量的中国小说译介到英语世界,影响了西方读者对中国文学的认知与接受,为推动中国文学海外传播起到了不可忽视的作用,因而有专题研究之必要。在概述韩南中国小说英译活动的基础上,分析相关研究现状及问题,提出了具体研究思路与方法,以期深化典籍英译理论研究,指导文学翻译实践,为当前中国文学的海外传播提供启示。
Patrick Hanan, an world and influenced western role in disseminating Chinese American sinologist, translated a large number of Chinese novels into the English readers＇ understanding and acceptance of Chinese literature and played a significant literature overseas, hence the necessity of specific research. Based on a survey of Patrick Hanan＇s translation of Chinese novels, the paper analyzes present studies and relevant problems and propo- ses concrete study approaches and methods to deepen theoretical studies of the translation of Chinese classics, guide literature translation practice and provide enlightenment for the overseas prevalence of Chinese literature.
