摘要
建国以来中国经历了一个独特的人口转变历程，被归结为中国人口转变模式。中国的人口转变在很大程度上与其计划生育活动相联系，也与中国的社会经济发展有关。这种人口转变特征将通过人口变化、年龄结构变化而引致一系列的社会经济后果，亟待引起关注和重视。
Since the founding of the People,s Republic,China has witnessed a unique transition of population,which is called Chinese Pattern of the Population Transition. The transition of population in China,to a great extent,is re1ated to not only the practice of the Family Planning,but also the development of socioeconomic situation in China. In the meanwhile,this pattern of the population transition will lead to a series of socioeconomic consequences through both changes of the population and the age structure.
