摘要
本文通过讨论语用能力与口译的关系，力图说明语用能力对提高口译质量的重要性。
Faithful and reliable
information conveyed by an interpreter depends largely on his awareness of the context in which
an utterance is performed,thus it is essential for an interpreter to possess pragmatic abilities.In
the paper an investigation is conducted on the relationship between pragmatic abilities and
interpretation.Pragmatic abilities indispensable to interpretation are further highlighted by dwelling
upon four major points.In the end some advice is wisely given on how to obtain pragmatic
abilities.
