摘要
本文讨论了一项英语写作教学的试验。受试者是昆明理工大学非英语专业2000级研究生约200名。试验的重点放在作文任务的设计与评估上,通过阅读与写作的有机结合来提高学生的英语写作能力。试验数据表明:读写结合的方法有助于增强学生的写作信心,使作文内容有了一定的深度,语言表达也更自然流畅。
This paper reports on a one-semester-long experiment on improving the writing ability of the English learners by means of integrating composition-writing with reading. The subjects included about 200 graduates of non-English majors of grade 2000 at Kunming University of Science and Technology. Their writing tasks were related to the reading material that had been discussed in class. Responses to a questionnaire show that the method helped the subjects build confidence in their own writing ability, so they welcomed the method. As a result they were able to express their ideas more idiomatically and write a meaningful composition.
