摘要
《关于公布世界一流大学和一流学科建设高校及建设学科名单的通知》(以下简称《一流建设通知》)的颁布是我国高等教育迈向国际的重大事件。外语(英语)学科肩负着中国高等教育为国家培养深度参与国际事务人才的使命,因而成为我国高水平大学、一流大学学科建设中不可或缺的要素。其作用主要体现在人才培养、特别是高水平大学本科生培养中的价值观塑造和创新信息提取、学科布局、智库研究、校园文化软实力等方面,具有显性、隐性相结合的重要支撑作用。本文试图从当前时代背景下外语教育所面临的重要历史使命、外语教育对一流高校建设的作用与必要性以及入选一流学科建设高校上海大学大学的外语教育及比较文学体系建设三个方面入手,来分析探索外语教育与中国一流高校建设的关系及作用。
The publishing of the Notice on the List of World First-class Universities and Discipline Construction Universities is an important event for China’s higher education to enter the international world.Foreign language(especially English)has become an indispensable element in the construction of high-level universities and first-class disciplines because of its world-wide spread,highly usage and the mission of China’s higher education to cultivate talents to participate deeply in our country’s International affairs.Its main role is reflected in the cultivation of talents,especially the shaping of values and extraction of innovative information in the process of cultivating high-level university undergraduates,discipline layout,think tank research,soft power of campus culture,etc.This paper attempts to analyze the functions of foreign language education during the construction of first-class universities and the relationship between them from three aspects:the historical mission that foreign language education faces in the new era,the role and necessity of foreign language education during the construction of first-class universities and the foreign language education in Shanghai University and the comparative literature education.
