摘要
美国国家专业教学标准委员会(NBPTS)是美国历史上第一个对优秀教师进行认证的机构,它根据不同的学习阶段和领域制定了评估标准,并以这一标准为基础对优秀教师进行评估和认证,进而促进教师的专业发展,提高专业教学的地位和美国教育的质量。文章介绍了NBPTS的目的和使命、评估标准、评估过程、面临的机遇和挑战及对我国的借鉴意义。
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards(NBPTS)is the first institution which certifi-cates the accomplished teachers in American history.It has established a framework of standards classified by developmental level and subject area,and on the basis of the standards,it assesse s and certificates the accom-plished teachers.The NBPTS is initiated to promote the professional development of teachers,improve the sta tus of the professional teach ing and the quality of education in America.This paper in troduces the aim and mis sion of NBPTS and it s assessment standards,assessment process,possibilities and challenges,in addi -tion to the reference meaning to our country.
