摘要
本研究通过自传这种叙事语篇探讨女性运动员身份自我建构过程中的隐喻功能。李娜自传《独自上场》的个案研究显示,'战争''自然环境''生命体'等隐喻构建的概念框架与场景凸显了李娜生平中的比赛与情感经历,体现了运动员群体身份的共性。表征概念框架的语言结构即及物系统及其蕴含的评价意义构建了自传者在这些概念框架中承担的角色,实施的行为及其相应的态度,凸显了女性运动员身份的特性。隐喻使用体现出优秀女性运动员兼具男性与女性的性格特征,构建出她们在赛事与情绪认知与管理方面的强势身份。
This study explores the metaphor function in a female athlete’s selfconstruction through autobiographical narrative discourse. The analysis of tennis player Li Na’s autobiography Play Alone shows that the conceptual framework and scenarios stimulated by WAR, ENVIRONMENT and LIFE metaphors construct her game and emotional experiences, which reflect common features of athletes’ identity. Meanwhile, the linguistic structure of transitivity and its entailed appraisal meaning characterizes the role,action, attitude of the autobiographer in these conceptual frameworks, which reveals specific characteristics of the constructed female athletes’ identity.The analysis at both cognitive and linguistic levels reveals the mixture of male and female characteristics in outstanding female athletes’ identity,highlighting their strength in sports games, emotional perception and management.
