摘要
"传神达意"是汪榕培提出的具有中国特色的典籍翻译理论。在该理论视阈下,汪译乐府诗通过恰当的翻译修辞策略,在达意的基础上传神地再现了乐府诗的古风古韵。"传神达意"理论非常重视再现典籍文本的修辞特点和美学功能,对典籍翻译实践尤其是古典诗歌翻译实践具有重要的指导意义。
'Conveying Spirits and Sense of the Original',a theoretical claim for translating Chinese classics,was put forward by Prof.Wang Rongpei.The present paper,in terms of'Conveying Spirits and Sense of the Original',analyzes the rhetorical strategies in Wang Rongpei’s translation of Gems of Yuefu Ballads,which enable Wang to convey both the spirits and the sense of the original poems.The theory of'Conveying Spirits and Sense of the Original'attaches great importance to reproducing the stylistic features and aesthetic function of classics,shedding light on the practice of classic translation(especially the translation of classic Chinese poems).
