摘要
语言受文化影响 ,又是文化的一个重要组成部分。因此要学好英语 ,提高运用英语进行交际的能力 ,熟悉英语背景知识是非常重要的。希腊神话是世界文化遗产 ,对欧美文化的发展起了重要的影响 ,是人类文明史上的宝贵财富。因此 ,无论是为了提高英语水平 ,还是为了研究欧美文学、历史、哲学、政治等 。
Languages and its cultural background interact with each other. It is also one of the main components of culture. If we want to learn English well and make good use of it in communication, we have to make acquaintance with its background knowledge. Greek Myth is the valuable property of the whole world, the treasure of mankind, it has played a key role in the development of western civilization. No doubt learning it will improve our English and provide good insight to understand literature, history and philosophy of the western world.
