一种基于PWM-PSM调制模式的汽车电压调节器

摘要 为了提高汽车电压调节器在轻载时的效率,设计了一种基于PWM-PSM调制模式的调节器。中载或重载时采用PWM调制模式,轻载时采用PSM调制模式。系统负载的轻重通过检测励磁调整管导通的占空比来判断。基于CSMC 40 V BCD工艺进行流片,测试结果表明,占空比小于25%时采用PSM调制模式,占空比大于或等于25%时采用PWM调制模式。与传统PWM调制模式相比,轻载(励磁电流小于1.1 A)时,该调节器的效率至少提高了23%。 Based on PWM-PSM modulation mode,an automotive voltage regulator was designed to improve the efficiency of the regulator in light load.PWM modulation mode was adopted in medium or heavy load,and PSM modulation mode was adopted in light load.The degree of the system load was estimated by detecting the duty cycle of the high power device.The results of the chip processed in CSMC 40 V BCD techniques showed that PSM modulation mode was adopted when the duty cycle was less than 25%,and PWM modulation mode was adopted when the duty cycle was equal or greater than 25%.At light load(excitation current was less than 1.1 A),the efficiency of the regulator increased by at least 23%compared with that of the traditional PWM modulation mode.
