摘要
拜厄特在其代表作《占有》中,以历史上三个不同时代的女性生命历程为叙事线索,用女性眼光和女性声音对西方男性叙事传统进行解构,在虚构的小说世界里表现她所理解的女性生存经验,揭示长期以来为西方男性失真的叙述视角和叙述话语所遮蔽的女性生命之历史真相,形成了虚构作品的独特历史叙述。本文采用女性主义理论和叙述学理论来探讨《占有》所运用的女性主义叙述手法,分析《占有》所表现的诸多女性生存意象及其丰富的女性主义意味,并结合相关资料对拜厄特的女性历史观作出简要评述。
In her novel Possession,A.S.Byatt tries to deconstruct the western patriarchal narrative tradition through female perspective and female voice,in order to reveal the historical truth of female existence,which has been long covered by male narrative perspective and voice.Byatt's skillful and individual description of the true female life in different ages forms a unique historical narrative in fiction.By analyzing the numerous images of female existence in Possession and its rich feminist implication the present paper reveals the feminist consciousness the novel embodies,and offers a comment on Byatt's conception of female history.
