语言反映文化。习语是一个民族语言的精华,它集中体现一个民族语言文化的特点。从英汉习语来源来探讨英汉民族的文化差异,有助于我们准确把握英汉民族文化的内涵,正确理解和运用英汉习语。
Language is a reflection of culture. The habitual expression, the essence of a language, embodies the culture of the nation it belongs to. An approach to cultural difference between English and Chinese by studying the sources of their habitual expressions will give us insight into the cultures of the two nations and help us correctly understand and effectively apply the expressions.
