摘要
传统语法从句法层面研究被动句,认为被动句是主动句转换而来的。但是在实际的语言交际中,被动句发挥着独立的功能,这一点往往被二语学习者所忽略,从而使被动句成为二语习得中的一个难点。文章试从Halliday的功能语言学出发,对被动句在语篇和语用文体两方面的功能进行评述,希望有益于二语习得和英汉对比。
Passive voice is a very important grammatical item in English. For traditional linguists, it is only the transformation of active voice. But factually it performs unique functions, which have been ignored by ESL learners, thus making one of the difficulties for them. This paper bases the exploration of its textual, pragmatic, and stylistic functions on Halliday's functionalism, in order to enhance the introduction of funct onalism 1to 12 acquisition and teaching.
