中国古诗词中数词应用广泛,用法各异、文化内涵丰富、情感意义复杂,因此增加了汉诗英译的难度。该文总结中国诗词中数词应用的特点,做以简单分类,并逐一探讨与各种用法相适应的英译策略。
In Chinese poetry the use of numerals is wide-ranging, usage is different, culture connotation is abundant and sentimen-tal meaning is sophisticated. So the Chinese poetry English translation is difficult. This essay summarizes characteristics of the useof numerals in Chinese poetry, makes simple classification and one by one discusses the English translation methods which is di-rected against the numerals' use.
