摘要
以评价理论为依据,运用语料库语言学方法,选取《卫报》两个不同时间段的新闻语篇建立语料库,分析高频名词、关键词、SVOC句型,观察新闻语篇的主题及态度,进而分析中国国家形象在西方媒体眼中的变化。结果表明,前后十几年间西方媒体眼中的中国国家形象发生了一些变化,主要表现在西方媒体对于中国经济关注度的增多以及对中国经济态度的正面转变所塑造出的一个经济大国的中国形象。
The present study is to find out whether there are any changes of the national image of China in the foreign media news over a period of about 15 years from the perspective of Appraisal Theory of Martin.The study adopts a corpus-based approach,analyzing the high-frequency nouns,the keywords of the news about China in different years,and themes and complements in the SVOC structure. The result shows that the major changes of China's national image are the increasing focus on Chinese economy and the positive attitude towards Chinese economy,which creates an image of China as a big economic power.
