The production and sales of Longquan kiln reached their zenith from the midto-late Yuan Dynasty to the early Ming Dynasty. The composition of ceramic artifacts excavated at coastal ports, coupled with findings along maritime routes, indicates that the primary way of northward transportation for Longquan celadon during the Yuan Dynasty was via sea.Archaeological evidence further reveals that, from the late Yuan to the early Ming period, there was a gradual increase in the proportion of Longquan celadon unearthed along the canal routes, with a significant rise in the early Ming.Combined with historical records of changes in water transport routes,it can be inferred that Longquan celadon began to be transported northward in large quantities via the canal since the early Ming Dynasty.
