摘要
为了解厄尔尼诺-南方涛动(El Nino-Southern Oscillation,ENSO)事件对茎柔鱼(Dosidicus gigas)耳石形态的影响,以不同海洋环境年的秘鲁外海茎柔鱼样本作为研究对象,分析ENSO对其耳石形态及生长的影响。结果表明,不同海洋环境年,茎柔鱼耳石均有明显的翼区、吻区、背区和侧区;雌、雄个体耳石形态差异不显著(P>0.05);不同海洋环境年间耳石形态存在显著差异(P<0.05)。通过主成分分析,选取耳石总长、吻区长和背侧区长作为耳石长度表征参数,选取翼区宽和吻区宽作为耳石宽度表征参数。厄尔尼诺年,茎柔鱼耳石整体形态较大,吻区长且窄,翼区较大;拉尼娜年,茎柔鱼耳石整体形态较小,吻区短且宽,翼区较小。研究结果可为后续利用耳石进行茎柔鱼种群鉴定和生活史研究提供科学依据,也可为研究气候变化对头足类硬组织生长的影响提供参考。
Dosidicus gigas is an important economic cephalopod,playing an important role in the eastern Pacific Ocean.The frequent climatic events in recent years have showed great impacts on D.gigas resources,including the biomass,growth,feeding habit and migration distribution.Statoliths are important hard tissues of cephalopods,which contain the whole information about the entire life history of cephalopods.The growth of statoliths can be affected by environmental changes,resulting in morphological variation of statolith.Interannual difference in biology and population identification of D.gigas can be investigated by the morphology of statolith.In this study,D.gigas samples captured from waters off Peru were selected as research objects.The results provided scientific basis for understanding population identification and life cycle of D.gigas and the effects of climate changes on growth characteristics of statolith of cephalopods.The results showed that the statolith of D.gigas in different marine environment years all had obvious dorsal,wing,lateral and rostrum zones.The morphology analysis results showed that no significant difference was found between sexes(P>0.05),while significant differences were found between different marine environment years(P<0.05).The total statolith length(TSL),rostrum length(RL)and dorsal lateral length(DLL)were selected as the length features and the wing width(WW)and rostrum width(RW)were selected as the width features according to results of principal component analysis.The representative morphological parameters were normalized to remove the effect of body size.Significant correlation relationships were found between mantle length(ML)and standardized TSL,DLL,WW(P<0.05).In El Nio years,rising sea levels and sea water temperature caused weak upwelling,which reduced the density of phytoplankton.The swimming ability of D.gigas was limited by this phenomenon,so the statolith of D.gigas had a longer and narrower rostrum zone and a bigger wing zone.While during La Nia years,the upwelling was
