摘要
一战后,为了援助法国图书馆事业发展,美国民间慈善组织联合美国图书馆协会共同创办了巴黎图书馆学校。作为一所专门的图书馆培训学校,巴黎图书馆学校从创建伊始就在组织运营、师资配备、招生管理以及国际合作等方面呈现出鲜明的国际化特色,并一度成为馆员教育的国际培训中心。巴黎图书馆学校是美国图书馆协会开展国际化办学的第一次域外尝试,尽管办学时间较短,但其在世界图书馆史上的影响不容忽视。一方面,巴黎图书馆学校打破了孤立主义思潮对美国图书馆界的束缚,不但为世界多国培养了大量的优秀毕业生,也向欧洲乃至世界成功实践和推广了美国现代图书馆学的技术和理念;另一方面,巴黎图书馆学校通过积极践行文化国际主义精神,深刻影响了国际图书馆事业的未来发展轨迹,同时也推动了法国图书馆女性职业教育的发展,为世界图书馆界树立了女性领导力的典范。表1。参考文献32。
After World War I,in order to assist the development of the library industry in France,a joint effort between American philanthropic organizations and the American Library Association led to the establishment of the Paris Library School.As a specialized library training institution,the Paris Library School demonstrated a distinct internationalization character from its inception in terms of organizational operations,faculty composition,student recruitment management,and international cooperation.It became an international training center for librarianship education.The Paris Library School marked the first attempt by the American Library Association to engage in international education outside its own borders.Despite its relatively short existence,its impact on the history of world librarianship cannot be ignored.On one hand,the Paris Library School broke the constraints of isolationism on the American library field.It not only trained a large number of outstanding graduates for France and other countries around the world but also successfully practiced and promoted the techniques and concepts of modern American library science in Europe and even globally.On the other hand,the Paris Library School profoundly influenced the future development trajectory of international library endeavors through its active pursuit of cultural internationalism.It also contributed to the advancement of professional education for women in French libraries,serving as a model of female leadership in the world library community.1 tab.32 refs.
