摘要
激发工科学生的道德勇气,促进其修德立身以承担社会责任是工程伦理教育的目标之一。研究借助英雄之旅叙事模式,探究俄罗斯电影《危楼愚夫》男主角尼基丁道德勇气的生成过程,建构基于积极认知—情感互促、强劲道德意志驱动和向善道德良心护佑之上的道德勇气生成机制,并据此开展道德勇气培养教学实践:课前勤于学,提升认知;课中善于思,铸情炼意;课后敏于行,规范行为。这对于激励工科学生将道德勇气内化于心,进而自觉地践行伦理规范,具有现实指导意义。
Moral courage is the ability to take action for moral reasons despite fear or likelihood of negative personal consequences.To cultivate moral courage in engineering students,this paper proposes that movie analysis can be incorporated into engineering ethics education.Take the Russian movie“The Fool(Дурак,2014)”as an example.Through analyzing the narrative structure of the Hero’s Journey in the movie,the teacher can help students better understand how the protagonist Dima Nikitin,an ordinary plumber,developed moral courage to face the corrupt system of local politics in order to save the lives of 800 inhabitants of an old dormitory.Students would also realize that the roots of moral courage lie in a strong moral compass,our altruistic moral conscience and cognitive-emotional moral motives.When incorporating movie analysis into engineering ethics education,students should be required to familiarize themselves before class with the overall storyline of the movie.During class,students need to engage in group discussion and critical thinking about the movie so as to develop their moral emotion and strengthen their moral compass.After class,students should apply the moral principles they have learned and develop moral self-discipline in their everyday life as well.
