摘要
包括外语考试在内的教育考试的现代化是中国式现代化的重要组成部分。从外语考试的中国式现代化的视角阐述我国外语考试现代化应体现中国特色,包括外语考试理念和内容的现代化、外语考试技术的现代化、外语考试管理的现代化等。同时,应重视档案袋评价,以形成性评价为抓手,运用现代信息技术,努力推进我国外语能力综合评价现代化。
Education modernization is an integral part of Chinese modernization and must offer high-quality and full-scale support for Chinese modernization. Educational testing and assessment are an important part of education, so education modernization requires the modernization of educational tests. More than 10 foreign language tests co-exist in China now. Some of these language tests have started using modern information technology, but some still use the traditional paper-and-pencil format. This paper presents some ideas on how foreign language tests in China should accommodate Chinese modernization, including the modernization of test theory, test contents, test technology, and test administration. Test content should cover, in addition to language abilities, other elements reflecting the new demand of the government. Test technology such as 5G and test digitization should be employed in test development, test administration, scoring, test result dissemination, and test bank construction. Technology-supported language tests can cover a wider range of language abilities and make test input more vivid by importing multi-modal materials. Non-contact internetbased language tests have become possible thanks to test modernization. Modern test surveillance systems also make it possible for test takers to take tests at home, thus avoiding the embarrassment of cancelling tests because of emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic. With the newly developed AI technology, automatic scoring can also be achieved, and more detailed and accurate diagnostic assessment reports can be offered to test takers and test users.Special attention is devoted to the modernization of comprehensive assessment in foreign language testing and assessment. A modernized comprehensive assessment should be a comprehensive system combining both formative assessment and summative assessment. All stakeholders, including education administrative departments, schools, teachers, students, parents and employers, should be involved in the assessment. Students
