In order to reveal the developmental characteristics of psychological resilience of rural left-behind junior high school students, and its relationship with guardians’parenting style and school adaptation,670 rural left-behind junior high school students were investigated by adolescent psychological resilience scale, simple parenting style questionnaire and middle school students’school adaptation complete scale. The results showed that the psychological resilience of boys was higher than that of girls, and the psychological resilience of grade two was the lowest in junior high school stage.Psychological resilience was positively correlated with emotional warmth in guardians’parenting style, and negatively correlated with rejection and overprotection in guardians’parenting style.Psychological resilience could positively predict school adaptation.Psychological resilience partially mediated the effect of guardians’parenting style on school adaptation. These results show that,in the mental health education of rural left-behind junior high school students, cultivating the quality of psychological resilience will promote the positive change of guardians’parenting style and then indirectly improve school adaptation of rural left-behind junior high school students.
