摘要
香港《译丛》(1973—)是对外译介传播中国文学文化的主力军之一,在西方世界产生了重要影响,戏剧是其重点译介的体裁之一。数十年间,《译丛》选译了34种不同时期的中国戏剧代表作,并刊登了8篇中国戏剧的评介性文章。《译丛》以域外读者对中国戏剧文化的有效接受为准绳,进行深度译介。在译文之内,通过音译、近似翻译、描述性翻译和背景翻译,忠实传译中国戏剧文化;在译文之外,副文本是助力深度译介最重要的手段,中国戏剧专论、译注、导言和插图进一步增强了译文的可读性和跨文化传播力。《译丛》的深度译介策略为中国戏剧“走出去”提供了宝贵的经验。
Hong Kong Renditions(1973-)influences far and wide in the West by translating Chinese literature and culture,in which drama is one of the leading types.In the past decades,Renditions has had 34 Chinese plays selected and translated,which represent the masterpieces in various historical periods,meanwhile having published 8 commentaries about Chinese drama.Aiming at overseas readers’effective acceptance of Chinese drama and culture,Renditions employs the strategy of thick translation.Within the rendered texts,the Chinese drama and culture can be faithfully conveyed by transcription,and approximate,descriptive,contextual translations.And beyond translations,para-texts are the most valid way in thick translation.Monographs,annotations,introductions,and even the illustrations strengthen the readability and cross-cultural transmissibility of the translated Chinese plays.The practice of thick translation by Renditions provides valuable experience for the Going Global of Chinese drama.
