摘要
人文与科学既相互区别又彼此联系,语言作为人类社会的产物而同时具有人文性和科学性。语言的双重性要求大学英语课程必须兼顾人文与科学,承担起培养当代大学生人文素养和科学素养的双重职责。大学英语教学设置了普通英语和专业英语两类课程,在普通英语课程中采用“识”和“用”相结合的原则,在专业英语课程中专业语言知识学习和专业文化教育双管齐下,始终贯彻人文和科学并重的大学英语课程教学理念。
Humanity and science are not only different from each other, but also related to each other. Language, as a product of human society, has both humanity and scientificity. The dual nature of language requires that College English Courses should take into account and assume the dual responsibility of cultivating contemporary college students′ humanistic and scientific literacies. College English teaching has set up two kinds of courses: General English Course and Professional English Course. For General English Course, it should adopt the principle of combination of “knowledge” and “application”. For Professional English Course, it should combine the study of professional language knowledge and professional culture education, so as to carry out the teaching idea of attaching equal importance to humanity and scientificity in College English Courses.
