摘要
双语交互激活是双语心理词库研究的核心话题之一。为了实现对双语词汇联系的全面了解,该话题研究从词汇层和概念层两个层面分别进行考察。启动实验是该话题研究最常见的实验范式,该范式通过对启动程度的测量来推断词汇联系的强弱。本研究考察了维吾尔族学习者英语词汇加工中维吾尔语的激活问题。作为中国英语学习者的重要组成部分,维吾尔族学习者值得关注,但当前研究对其的探讨仍然较少。本研究包括两个实验,分别对词汇层和概念层进行考察。两个实验均采用长时重复启动实验范式进行,该范式具体包含两个阶段。第一阶段中,英语刺激项目和维吾尔语刺激项目均要呈现,但被试仅对英语项目进行判断。相同的维吾尔语项目在第二阶段再次呈现且要求被试进行判断。实验假设是,如果第二阶段的维吾尔语项目的通达中存在启动效应,则表明第一阶段英语项目的加工中维吾尔语项目得到了自动激活,也即两种语言的词汇在大脑表征中存在联系。两个实验要求被试进行不同的判断。实验一用来考察词汇层的联系情况,采用词汇判断任务进行,要求被试判断所给刺激项目是否是真实存在的单词。该实验没有发现启动效应,表明该层面信息的通达中维吾尔语不能自动激活,两种语言在词汇表征层上没有联系。实验二用来考察概念层的联系情况,采用生命性判断任务进行,要求被试判断所给刺激项目的指代物是否是生命体。该实验发现了微弱的启动效应,表明该层面信息的通达中维吾尔语能够自动激活,两种语言在概念表征层上存在微弱联系。总体上,维吾尔族学习者采用的是词汇层相互独立、概念层相互联系的双语词汇表征模式。
Bilingual Activation has been a key topic in the research of bilingual mental lexicon.In order to get comprehensive know-ledge of bilingual lexical representation,studies have investigated the cross-language lexical connections on both the lexical access level and conceptual access level.The priming paradigm has been used most frequently,in which the priming effects are measured to indicate the strength of lexical connection.The present study has explored the activation of Uighur language in Uighur learners’processing of English words,because the Uighur learners are an important part of English learners in China,which,however,has been scarcely investigated.Two experiments were included in this study,which were used to explore the connections on the lexical access level and conceptual access level respectively.In both experiments,the long-term repetition priming paradigm was used.This paradigm was divided into two phases.In the first phase both the English stimuli and Uighur stimuli were presented,and the participants were required to operate with the English stimuli only.The same Uighur stimuli would be presented in the second phase,and the participants were to operate with these stimuli.It was hypothesized that,if priming effects were found in the second phase,that would indicate the activation of Uighur in the first phase,even though the participants were not required to recognize them.This is the evidence that Uighur can be activated automatically in the access of English words and words in both languages are connected.Different tasks were used in the two experiments.In the first experiment,a lexical decision task was used,in which the participants were required to judge whether each presented stimulus was a real word or not.This experiment was used to investigate the connections on the lexical access level.No priming effect was found in this experiment,which indicated Uighur could not be activated automatically in the lexical access.This result showed that the two languages were not connected on the level o
