摘要
以《三体》和《死亡通知单》为代表的中国类型小说的海外传播取得了较大成功,其销量、权威书评杂志的评论以及主流媒体的报导都位居中国文学英文译作前列。本文基于韦斯特利一麦克莱恩的ABCX模式提出了《三体》和《死亡通知单》的海外传播模式,运用“把关人”理论分析了版权代理人、意见领袖和出版社编辑在传播过程中所发挥的作用。本文认为推进中国文学海外传播的关键在于选择位于传播双方共同经验范围之内的作品,在传播的信息功能和娱乐功能之间取得最佳平衡点,依据传播的双向性和循环性始终把受众的需求置于首位,利用受众的反馈推动中国文学持续有效地传播。
The overseas dissemination of Chinese genre fiction exemplified by The Three-Body Problem and Death Notice has achieved considerable success,and their sales,recommendations of the authoritative magazines of book reviews and the mainstream news media have been at the top of the English-translated Chinese literature.The communication model of The Three-Body Problem and Death Notice abroad has been put forward in this paper,based on Westley-MacLean model of ABCX.The theory of gatekeepers has been adopted to analyze the role played by copyright agents,opinion leaders and editors of publishing houses.It’s concluded that the overseas dissemination of Chinese literature consists in selecting works within the common field of experience of both communicators and receivers and striking a fine balance between the information and entertainment function of communication.Meanwhile,according to the bidirectionality and circularity of communication,it’s advisable to give receivers’ requirements top priority and promote the sustainable and effective communication of Chinese literature with the benefit of receivers’ feedback.
