Empirical analysis finds that, due to the constraints of social network’s“Convergence selection”and the“breakage”and“ineffectiveness”of acquired social network after returning home, rural migrant workers mainly rely on the ascription social network in the entrepreneurial survival stage, however, when transferred to the growth stage, the role of the ascription social network gradually weakened while marketization increased. And the role of acquired social network gradually appears and tends to be enhanced. It is also found that the social network capability of returning migrant workers to start a business has a significant promoting effect on the survival entrepreneurial performance of the ascription social network and the growth entrepreneurial performance of the acquired social network. Therefore, rural migrant workers returning to their hometowns will fully mobilize their social network management and development capabilities in their entrepreneurial practice, and continue to build and expand self-induced social networks while maintaining the established social networks that have been established, thereby enhancing the entrepreneurial performance,so as to promote the high-quality development of agriculture and the rural areas.
