摘要
互联网社会,留学生个体作为节点通过社交媒介产生连接,并由此形成新的社会网络关系,影响着当代留学生的文化认同。本文选取在陕西留学的中亚五国学生为研究对象,在社会网络关系的视角下探讨留学生在东道国的社会网络关系密度和类型与文化认同之间的关系。研究发现,在留学生的社会网络关系中,度中心数和中介中心度高的留学生文化认同更高;东道国网络结构有助于留学生对东道国的文化认同;微信作为连接方式为留学生在东道国构建了一个去中心化的、流动的、分布式的社会网络关系,有助于留学生彼此连接、建立多元关系,从而提升其对东道国的文化认同。本研究跳出以往将留学生作为群体的研究视角,对我们了解社交媒体时代留学生文化认同影响机制具有启发意义。
In the Internet society, the foreign students connect through social media, and form a new social network relationship, which influences the cultural identity of the contemporary foreign students. This paper studies the relationship between social network density and type and cultural identity of the students from five Central Asian countries studying in Shaanxi province from the perspective of social network. It is found that the cultural identity of foreign students is higher in the relationship of social network, and the network structure of host country is helpful to the cultural identity of foreign students. Wechat, as a way of connecting, builds a decentralized, mobile and distributed social network for international students in the host country, which helps them connect with each other and build multiple relationships, in order to enhance their cultural identity of the host country.This study breaks away from the previous perspective of studying international students as a group and sheds light on the mechanism of cultural identity of international students in the age of social media.
