New Generation of Information Technology Empowering School-based Translation Courses for Emerging Engineering

摘要 新工科背景下,非英语专业学生翻译能力薄弱的现象得到普遍关注。但如何改善非英语专业翻译教学现状,学者们尚未提出有效方法和举措。传统非英语专业翻译教学的主要问题在于:教学目标趋同;学生学习弹性受限;评价机制过于单一。因此通过教学实践,尝试在慕课视域下,借助新一代信息化手段,进行线上+线下混合式新工科翻译课程精准教学新模式的探索与实践,以期解决上述问题。同时基于精准教学理念,提出利用云计算,建立精准教学目标;完善教学方式,满足学习弹性需求;以学习者为中心,实现个性化教学评价。 Under the background of emerging engineering,the phenomenon of weak translation ability for non-English majors has been widely concerned.However,scholars have not yet put forward effective methods and measures to improve the current situation of translation teaching for non-English majors.The main problems of traditional translation teaching for non-English majors are:the convergence of teaching objectives;the limitation of students’ learning flexibility;the simplicity of evaluation mechanism.Therefore,in the view of MOOC and with the help of the new generation of information technology,this project attempts to explore and practice the precision instruction on the translation course for emerging engineering,which is a mixture of online and offline.At the same time,based on the concept of Precision Instruction,it proposes to use cloud computing to establish precise teaching objectives,perfect teaching methods to meet the needs of learning flexibility and take learners as the center to realize personalized teaching evaluation.
